Embarking on my journey in September 2010 at Ánima Estudios, I began by infusing life into animations as a Colorist Artist until January 2012, adding depth and richness to 2D animations for various TV shows and movies. Transitioning into digital compositing and 3D modeling until August 2012, I honed my craft in creating immersive visual experiences. During my time at Ánima Estudios, I had the privilege of contributing to groundbreaking projects such as TOP CAT BEGINS and WICKED FLYING MONKEYS, where I spearheaded layout work with a sequence-level mentality for CG 3D features. In 2015, I joined the dynamic team at Fotosíntesis Media, where I contributed to the creative approach of layout and previs work, focusing on developing sequences that captured the essence of each act, ensuring technical finesse and artistic coherence. During my tenure, I also assumed diverse responsibilities including rigging proxy characters, modeling proxy environments, setting up looks and feels for presentations, and even proposing sound FX and music moods for sequences. These roles allowed me to showcase my versatility across rigging, modeling, lighting, texturing, and motion graphics. At Fotosíntesis Media, I played a role in refining the 3D layout workflow for 2D animated films, integrating backgrounds, continuity, and scale information into sequences to enhance storytelling. Freelancing for Mantarraya Producciones provided me with diverse creative avenues, from motion graphics to digital compositing and music production. Throughout my VFX layout experience, I have been dedicated to pushing for sequence-based workflows. I advocated for sequence reviews for shots to consistently improve quality and uphold artistic values. This approach was exemplified in my work on the latest Apple+ TV show, Masters of the Air, where I pushed for sequence setups for each sequence we worked on. Since November 2020, I've been fortunate to continue this journey as a CG Layout Supervisor at Dneg in Montréal, where I strive to push the boundaries of creativity and technology, shaping immersive visual narratives that captivate audiences worldwide.
